What VCTria is
VCTria is a small, independent collection of web projects that share one root domain. Each project lives on its own clean subdomain — football-calendar.vctria.com, quran.vctria.com, and more to come — while vctria.com acts as the root that introduces them.
The name
VCTria is borrowed from Victoria — and from the quiet triumph of a flower that finally opens. It is a useful reminder that growth does not need to be loud. Most of what is built here is made slowly, on purpose, and kept simple enough that it still works years later.
How things get built
The guiding constraint is restraint. Sites are hand-written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no framework and no build step. That keeps pages fast, dependencies at zero, and the code readable by anyone who opens it.
- Flat by design. No 3D gimmicks, no heavy motion, no dark patterns.
- Accessible. Semantic markup, keyboard support and reduced-motion respect.
- Fast. Static hosting, no trackers beyond what advertising requires.
- Honest. No accounts, no paywalls, no selling of personal data.
What is live now
Football Calendar — fixture lists from top leagues and clubs, ready to
subscribe in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
QURAN — a distraction-free reader with word-by-word translation, tajweed
colouring, tafsir and verse-by-verse audio.
A blog and a tools section are in cultivation. When they open, they will appear on the garden page with a live badge.
